Fit Your Life Now

About Fit Your Life Now

I was born in Chicago, but raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I was always skinny as a kid, but like many of us I found myself putting on a few pounds my freshman year in college. I was eating a LOT of fast food and drinking WAY too much alcohol for any one human being. I can't remember exactly what my "last straw" moment was, but something clicked one day. I saw my body deteriorating, and I put my foot down and said "no more! This ends now!"

If you're reading this website at all, I'm sure you can relate to that moment. After that, I began devouring fitness books and magazines and DVD's and websites, and anything else I could get my hands on. I took a flying leap head first into the gym, and spent hours at a time there. The changes were swift and many, and people around me began to notice. They also noticed that I was very excited about all the things I was learning about the body, and that I was talking about it incessantly.

One day somebody pointed out to me that you can make a great living sharing this info with people who need it. The rest, as they say, is history.

Below you will find my resume. At the bottom you will notice that I also have a list of references to provide upon request. I have a number of very happy clients that will tell you about how I helped them stride towards their goals. After you take a look here, call the number, or drop me an email so I can help you too.

Work Experience

Personal Trainer
08/2004 - Present: Fit Your Life Now, (owner, sole proprietor)
I tailor make fitness plans for each client, and come into their home on a weekly basis to walk them through the process step by step. I have worked with clients in need of weight loss, toning, sculpting, mass building, and sport-specific training. This especially appeals to clients who don't like crowded and/or noisy gyms. The equipment and the trainer come right to the client's door to maximize comfort and convenience.

Land-Based Fitness Director / Boot Camp Instructor
02/2009 - Present: RoseBowl Aquatics Center
The RoseBowl Aquaitics Center is a facility here in Pasadena, California that is home to two full Olympic-sized swimming pools, full Olympic dive tour, and a full gym with weight room and cardio machines. I designed, developed and implemented all of their new "land-based" programming, from the Boot Camp classes to one-on-one personal training sessions. Once the programs launched I also took the lead as the evening camp instructor, and as a personal trainer.

Boot Camp Instructor
8/2006 - 01/2009: Ultimate Body BootCamp, Phoenix Area, Arizona
http://www.cometobootcamp.com/training.php
For an hour at a time I lead groups through a wide range of activities geared towards strength, cardiovascular health, and flexibility. Camps are outdoors in a public park, though in the hotter months we offer the occasional indoor camps, whenever space is available. Groups range in size from as low as six to as high as twenty people at a time. They also range in age and current skill/fitness level from a healthy thirty-something to an untrained fifty-something. I must do my best to strike a balance somewhere short of pushing the untrained too hard, and above not pushing the very fit enough.

Personal Trainer
9/2005 - 9/2006: Gold's Gym, Mesa, Arizona
As a trainer for Gold's my duties included assessing the client's goals and baseline fitness level, formulating and executing an individualized plan designed to meet those goals. Every client is different, and my approach varies from client to client.
